The system is defined as a support package system
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
BRFplus does not support creating objects as copies from other objects
like the ABAP Workbench. Therefore, if you need to do double maintenance
for your content, perform the following steps:
Adapt/create the content in the original development system
Export the content via the XML interface from the original system. You
can use the report "FDT_XML_EXPORT" to export the content.
Import the content via the XML interface to the maintenance system. You
can use the report "FDT_XML_IMPORT" to import the content.
Create a transport request containing two tasks one of type: "Repair"
and another of type: "Development/Correction"
Do not create new BRFplus objects in the maintenance system if you have
created them in the original / development system. They get a different
ID(UUID), which leads to problems, if the customer does an (release)
upgrade.
For example, suppose you create a function in the development system and
use its UUID in your coding. Then you are aware, that you have to
downport the function to the maintenance system(s). If you would create
the function (and its content) via the UI they would get different UUIDs
as in the development system. When the customer upgrades his system to
the release of the development system there will be a failure in the
import of the BRFplus content since there are now two functions with the
same name but with different UUIDs.
Scenarios:
You want to create a new application in the maintenance system, which
was originally created in the development system. You are not able to
create the application in the UI. Use the XML interface instead to
import the whole application from the development system
You want to create/change a function in the maintenance system. Use the
XML interface to import the function and its referenced objects
(context, expressions etc.) to make sure, that they have the same UUIDs
as in the original system.
You want to create/change specific objects, such as a decision table.
Import the object(s) using the XML interface from the original system.
Remember, that you have to make sure, that you include all necessary
objects. For example, the decision table uses other expressions to store
the conditions and results. So, make sure that you include the
referenced objects during the XML export.
Only adapt/create BRFplus content via the UI, if the maintenance system
is the original system of your BRFplus content.
