  • What causes this issue?

    Packages have application components like "XX-SER-NET" or "CA".
    For tranportable packages the application component must be enabled to
    create customer messages.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    Make sure customer messages can be created for each package you use for
    your software component(s).
    The application component can be changed for existing packages. The
    latest ABAP Workbench tools automatically validate if the application
    component can be used for customer messages. If it is not possible to
    adopt the application component, use a different package.
    Packages are assigned to the Search Software Component and each
    individual Search Model.

    Procedure for System Administrators

    The corresponding package management error message is PAK-010 (see
    transaction SE91, message class PAK, number 091).
