What causes this issue?

The batch record you have selected has already been approved. Before
you can make changes, the system, therefore, creates a new version of
the batch record. However, an internal error occurred while creating
the new version. For this reason, you cannot change the batch record.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

Note to System Administration
The batch record that the user has selected was created before Release
4.6A. The new version of the batch record was created in the current
release.
Batch record management has been completely revised in Release 4.6A and
for this reason, the link to the archive files must be created again
when the new version is created. To do so, the document types for the
batch record must be linked to business object <LS>BUS3053001 (Batch
Record)</>. This link is missing for document type &V1&.

Carry out the activity <DS:SIMG.PPPI_PD_230>Define Links to Content
Servers</> in Customizing for <LS>Batch Records</>.
Make a new link entry for document type &V1& and business object
<LS>BUS3051 (Batch Record)</>.
