The SAP error message "CX018 BOM for material '&' is inactive" indicates that the Bill of Materials (BOM) for a specific material is currently inactive. This can prevent the system from using the BOM in production or planning processes.

    1. Inactive BOM: The BOM for the specified material has been marked as inactive. This can happen if the BOM was deliberately deactivated or if it has been replaced by a newer version.

    3. Check Validity Dates:

      • Ensure that the BOM is valid for the current date. If it is not, you may need to adjust the validity dates.
    4. Review BOM Versions:

      • If there are multiple versions of the BOM, ensure that the correct version is being referenced in your transaction.
    5. Consult with Authorizations:

      • If you do not have the necessary permissions to activate the BOM, consult with your SAP administrator or the person responsible for BOM management in your organization.
