What causes this issue?

The material you selected is not configurable. For this function, you
can only select configurable materials.
<DS:GLOS.configurable_material>configurable materials</> are either
created with a material type that has the <ZH>configurable</> indicator
(material type KMAT in the standard system) or defined as configurable
using the indicator in the material master.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
