CRM_ISU_PROFILE_DATA106
- Profile &1 is Currently Locked by User &2. ?The SAP error message "CRM_ISU_PROFILE_DATA106: Profile &1 is currently locked by user &2" indicates that a specific profile (identified by &1) is currently locked for editing or processing by another user (identified by &2). This typically occurs in systems where multiple users may be accessing or modifying the same data simultaneously, leading to potential conflicts.
Cause:
- Concurrent Access: Another user is currently editing or has opened the profile, which prevents other users from making changes to it.
- Session Timeout: A user may have left a session open, causing the profile to remain locked even if they are no longer actively working on it.
- System Error: Occasionally, a system error or crash may leave a profile in a locked state without a user actively holding the lock.
Solution:
- Wait and Retry: If the lock is temporary, waiting for the other user to finish their work may resolve the issue. You can periodically check if the lock has been released.
- Identify the Locking User: Use transaction codes like
SM12
(for lock entries) to identify the user who has locked the profile. You can search for the specific profile name to see the locking user.- Contact the Locking User: If possible, reach out to the user who has the profile locked and ask them to release it if they are done with their work.
- Release the Lock: If the locking user is unavailable and you have the necessary authorizations, you can manually delete the lock entry in
SM12
. Be cautious with this approach, as it may lead to data inconsistencies if the other user is still working on the profile.- Check for System Issues: If locks are persisting without any active users, it may indicate a system issue. In this case, consult your SAP Basis team to investigate and resolve any underlying problems.
