However, if the reference business partner is using a template, the data
referenced in this manner does not apply to consumers.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

If you want to use the sales data within a template that is assigned to
a reference business partner, the data must first be converted to the
reference business partner's own data.
Note that reference business partner data converted in this way only
applies to new consumers created as of this point, but not to those
which already exist.
