COM_PRCAT025
- Set type &1 contains multiple-value attributes ?The SAP error message COM_PRCAT025 indicates that there is an issue with a set type in the SAP system that contains multiple-value attributes. This typically occurs in the context of SAP's classification system, particularly when dealing with characteristics and attributes of materials or products.
Cause:
The error arises when a set type (which is a collection of characteristics) is defined in such a way that it includes attributes that can hold multiple values, but the system is expecting a single value for those attributes. This can happen due to:
- Incorrect Configuration: The set type may have been incorrectly configured to allow multiple values for attributes that should only have a single value.
- Data Entry Issues: When entering data for a material or product, multiple values may have been inadvertently assigned to a characteristic that is not set up to handle them.
- Incompatibility: The set type may be incompatible with the data being processed, especially if the data model has changed or if there are updates in the classification system.
Solution:
To resolve the error, you can take the following steps:
Review Set Type Configuration:
- Go to the configuration settings for the set type in transaction CL02 (Change Class) or CL01 (Create Class).
- Check the attributes of the set type and ensure that they are configured correctly. If an attribute is meant to hold a single value, ensure it is not set to allow multiple values.
Check Characteristic Settings:
- Review the characteristics associated with the set type. Ensure that the characteristics are defined correctly and that their value assignment is appropriate for the intended use.
Data Correction:
- If the error is due to incorrect data entry, correct the data for the affected materials or products. Ensure that only single values are assigned to attributes that do not support multiple values.
Testing:
- After making the necessary changes, test the configuration by attempting to create or modify the relevant material or product to ensure that the error no longer occurs.
Consult Documentation:
- Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for additional guidance on configuring set types and handling multiple-value attributes.
Related Information:
By following these steps, you should be able to identify the root cause of the error and implement a solution to resolve it.
