Message class: COM_PARTNER - Partner Processing Messages
Message number: 813
Message text: Multiple mapping to partner function (&1) can lead to problems
Several partner functions are mapped to the R/3 partner role &V1&.
This can lead to problems with connecting the CRM System to the R/3
System:
If <ZH>two or more</> CRM partner functions that map to the <ZH>same</>
R/3 partner role are permitted in a partner procedure, in order that
these partner functions <ZH>may occur together</> in document entry (so
that the document is <ZH>not</>incorrect), copying this document into
the R/3 System would cause an error. R/3 can <ZH>only manage one
partner per partner role</>!
When copying master data or documents from R/3 into the CRM System, an
R/3 partner role can only be <ZH>uniquely</> mapped to a CRM partner
function. If several partner functions map to the same R/3 partner
role, this may cause problems when transporting data between an R/3 and
a CRM system (Example
<ZK>: </>partner functions Z1 and Z2 are both mapped to the partner
role SH. When transporting from R/3 into CRM, the partner role SH is
uniquely mapped to partner function Z1).
When working with both the CRM System and the R/3 System, you can only
choose <ZH>one</> CRM partner function in the CRM documents for each
R/3 partner function. This only affects documents that are copied into
the R/3 System. Pure activities are not affected by this restriction as
they are not copied into R/3.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

COM_PARTNER813
- Multiple mapping to partner function (&1) can lead to problems ?The SAP error message COM_PARTNER813 indicates that there are multiple mappings to a partner function in the system, which can lead to inconsistencies or problems in processing. This typically occurs in the context of business partner (BP) relationships, where a specific partner function is assigned to multiple business partners, causing ambiguity in how the system should handle transactions involving that partner function.
Cause:
- Multiple Assignments: The primary cause of this error is that the same partner function (e.g., sold-to party, ship-to party) is assigned to multiple business partners in a way that the system cannot determine which one to use.
- Configuration Issues: Incorrect configuration in the partner determination procedure or in the business partner settings can lead to this situation.
- Data Duplication: Duplicate entries in the business partner master data can also result in this error.
Solution:
- Review Partner Functions: Check the partner functions assigned to the relevant business partners. Ensure that each partner function is uniquely assigned to a single business partner where necessary.
- Adjust Partner Determination Procedure: If applicable, review and adjust the partner determination procedure in the relevant configuration settings to ensure that it does not allow multiple mappings for the same partner function.
- Data Cleanup: Perform a cleanup of the business partner master data to remove any duplicates or incorrect assignments. This may involve merging business partners or reassigning partner functions.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to partner functions and partner determination to ensure compliance with best practices.
- Testing: After making changes, conduct thorough testing to ensure that the issue is resolved and that there are no further conflicts in partner assignments.
