    How to fix this error?

    Procedure for System Administrators

In contrast to nodes of non-historical trees of the
    <DS:GLOS.3526C4FEAFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>process order</> or the
    <DS:GLOS.16F818168A2787458A914B11254A406E>XStep repository</>, nodes of
    historical <DS:GLOS.463635950E355841B1F5F8904C71718F>XStep trees</> of
the master recipe are not physically deleted from the database tables
when they are deleted in the XS editor. All that happens is that a
deletion flag is set for them in the corresponding database tables.
Only by deleting/archiving the associated master recipe can you also
physically delete or archive the assigned XStep trees.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message CMX_XSR007 - SXS reference in master recipe deleted (Display not possible) ?

The SAP error message CMX_XSR007 indicates that a specific SXS (Substance Exchange System) reference in a master recipe has been deleted, which prevents the display of that master recipe. This error typically arises in the context of SAP's process manufacturing and recipe management modules, particularly when dealing with master recipes that reference substances or materials that are no longer available or have been removed from the system.

    Cause:

    1. Deletion of SXS Reference: The most common cause is that the SXS reference (which could be a material, substance, or other related object) has been deleted from the system.
    2. Data Integrity Issues: There may be inconsistencies in the data, such as orphaned references in the master recipe that no longer point to valid objects.
    3. Transport Issues: If changes were transported from one system to another (e.g., from development to production), it’s possible that the SXS reference was not included in the transport.

    Solution:

    1. Check for Deletion: Verify if the SXS reference has indeed been deleted. You can do this by checking the relevant tables or using transaction codes like SE11 or SE16 to look up the substance or material.
    2. Restore the Reference: If the reference was deleted unintentionally, you may need to restore it. This could involve re-creating the substance or material in the system.
    3. Update the Master Recipe: If the SXS reference is no longer needed, you can update the master recipe to remove the reference to the deleted SXS. This may involve editing the master recipe in transaction C201 or C202.
    4. Check for Transport Issues: If the issue arose after a transport, ensure that all necessary objects were included in the transport request. You may need to re-transport the missing objects.
    5. Consult Documentation: Review SAP documentation or notes related to the specific error message for any additional guidance or patches that may be available.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes such as C201 (Create Master Recipe), C202 (Change Master Recipe), and C203 (Display Master Recipe).
