Message type: E = Error
Message class: CM - Task list messages: Material component allocations
Message number: 115
Message text: Multiple allocations are not allowed in the std. seq. or parallel seq.
You have carried out one of the following actions:
You checked consistency of component allocation in the routing. The BOM
item is allocated to more than one operation in the standard sequence or
parallel sequence.
You attempted to allocate a BOM item already allocated to an operation
in the standard sequence or parallel sequence.
Neither action is valid because a BOM item can be allocated to only one
operation in a routing. However, allocation of a BOM item to an
operation in an alternative sequence is the only exception.
First remove incorrect allocation(s) and then make the appropriate
allocation.

CM115
- Multiple allocations are not allowed in the std. seq. or parallel seq. ?The SAP error message CM115 ("Multiple allocations are not allowed in the std. seq. or parallel seq.") typically occurs in the context of production planning and control, particularly when dealing with sequences in the production process. This error indicates that there is an attempt to allocate multiple resources or operations to a single sequence, which is not permitted in standard or parallel sequencing.
Cause:
- Multiple Allocations: The error arises when there are multiple allocations of operations or resources to a single sequence in a routing or production order.
- Routing Configuration: The routing may be incorrectly configured, allowing for multiple operations to be assigned to the same sequence.
- Production Order Settings: The settings in the production order may not align with the routing definitions, leading to conflicts.
- Parallel Sequences: If parallel sequences are defined, the system may not allow multiple allocations within those sequences.
Solution:
- Check Routing: Review the routing for the production order to ensure that each operation is assigned to a unique sequence. If multiple operations are assigned to the same sequence, adjust the routing to separate them.
- Adjust Production Order: If the production order is causing the issue, check the order settings and ensure that they align with the routing definitions.
- Review Sequence Settings: If using parallel sequences, ensure that the configuration allows for the intended operations without causing conflicts.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on configuring sequences and allocations in your version of SAP.
- Testing: After making adjustments, test the changes in a development or test environment before applying them to production to ensure that the error is resolved.
