CM114
- No material components are allocated to operation ?The SAP error message CM114 ("No material components are allocated to operation") typically occurs in the context of production planning and control, particularly when working with production orders or routing in SAP. This error indicates that the system cannot find any material components assigned to a specific operation in a routing or production order.
Causes:
- Missing Component Assignment: The operation in the routing or production order does not have any material components assigned to it.
- Incorrect Routing: The routing used for the production order may not have been set up correctly, or the components may not have been defined in the routing.
- Production Order Issues: The production order may not have been properly created or may be referencing an incorrect routing.
- Configuration Issues: There may be issues with the configuration of the material master or the bill of materials (BOM) that prevent components from being allocated.
- Status of the Order: The production order may be in a status that does not allow for component allocation.
Solutions:
Check Routing: Verify that the routing assigned to the production order has the necessary material components defined for the relevant operation. You can do this by navigating to the routing in the SAP system and checking the operations and their assigned components.
Assign Components: If components are missing, you can manually assign the required materials to the operation in the routing or production order. This can be done in the production order or routing maintenance screens.
Review BOM: Ensure that the bill of materials (BOM) for the material being produced is correctly defined and that it includes the necessary components.
Recreate Production Order: If the production order is not set up correctly, consider deleting and recreating it, ensuring that the correct routing and BOM are used.
Check Order Status: Make sure that the production order is in a status that allows for component allocation. If the order is already confirmed or completed, you may need to adjust the order status.
Consult Documentation: Review SAP documentation or consult with your SAP support team for specific configuration settings that may affect component allocation.
