  • What causes this issue?

A change has been made to the assignment of the specified characteristic
to class using the change number that is to be changed. This
characteristic assignment has been overwritten. The change can be
shifted within the validity period of the characteristic assignment that
was overwritten. The new date is outside this range.
If an overwritten characteristic assignment was deleted and created
again later on, another characteristic assignment is overwritten. The
date can only be shifted within the validity period of an overwritten
characteristic assignment. This means that the permitted range for the
new date can be smaller than the validity period of the characteristic
    assignment to the class.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    System Response

The system creates a message log which lists change objects that do not
allow the date to be shifted.
