Message type: E = Error
Message class: CJ - Project master data and structure
Message number: 273
Message text: Simulation &1 &2 consists of partial trees. No transfer possible
You transferred a simulation to a subtree and now want to transfer the
entire simulation to an existing project. However, this is not
possible because it could be the case that objects exist in the target
that do not exist in the simulation. If you transferred these,
inconsistencies could occur.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Entire simulation update other projects only if they are complete.
Therefore you should transfer a simulation that is complete or limit
your selection to a subtree when transferring. Enter the WBS element
you want to transfer. You can select a WBS element from the first level
and then call up this transaction again and again to transfer the other
elements from the first level. In this way you transfer the entire
simulation.

CJ273
- Simulation &1 &2 consists of partial trees. No transfer possible ?The SAP error message CJ273, which states "Simulation &1 &2 consists of partial trees. No transfer possible," typically occurs in the context of project management and controlling within SAP, particularly when dealing with project structures and simulations.
Cause:
This error usually arises when there is an inconsistency in the project structure or when the simulation you are trying to execute is based on incomplete or partial data. Specifically, it indicates that the simulation you are attempting to run consists of "partial trees," meaning that the project hierarchy is not fully defined or that there are missing components in the project structure.
Possible Causes Include:
- Incomplete Project Structure: The project may not have all the necessary components or nodes defined.
- Incorrect Assignment: Some elements may not be correctly assigned to the project or simulation.
- Data Integrity Issues: There may be issues with the data integrity in the project hierarchy, such as missing links between nodes.
- Simulation Configuration: The simulation settings may not be correctly configured to include all necessary elements.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can take the following steps:
Check Project Structure:
- Review the project structure to ensure that all necessary components are included and properly linked.
- Ensure that there are no missing nodes or incomplete assignments.
Validate Data:
- Use transaction codes like CJ20N (Project Builder) to check the project hierarchy and ensure that all elements are correctly defined.
- Look for any inconsistencies or missing data in the project.
Review Simulation Settings:
- Check the settings of the simulation you are trying to run. Ensure that it is configured to include all relevant project elements.
- If necessary, recreate the simulation with the correct parameters.
Consult Documentation:
- Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on handling project structures and simulations.
Seek Help from SAP Support:
- If the issue persists, consider reaching out to SAP support or your internal SAP team for further assistance.
