SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: CI_DRAFTPRD_MESSAGE -

  • Message number: 561

  • Message text: & screen skipped since not maintained for the generic product

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You are maintaining a variant of a
<DS:GLOS.generic_material>generic product</>. However, you can maintain
only those views that have already been maintained for the generic
    product.

    System Response

The system skips the <LS>&V1&</> screen, and any others that cannot be
    maintained for this reason.

    How to fix this error?

First maintain the relevant view(s) for the generic product. You can
then maintain them for the variants as required.

    How can this happen?

A generic product has already been created from the <LS>Basic Data</>
and <LS>POS</> views. While changing the generic product, you select the
    <LS>Logistics: Distribution Center</> and <LS>Logistics: Store</> views,
and also the <LS>POS</> view since you want to change something there.
On the <LS>Logistics: Distribution Center</> screen, you choose
<LS>Areas of validity</> to switch to one of the variants. After
entering your data as required, you choose <LS>Enter</> to leave the
    screen.
Since the generic product has not yet been maintained from the
<LS>Logistics: Store</> view, this view is not yet active for the
variant. Instead, the system displays the <LS>POS</> screen with the
    data for the variant.
