- You deleted UoM with last EAN, even though the product is GDS-relevant ?The SAP error message CI_DRAFTPRD_MESSAGE415 indicates that a user attempted to delete a Unit of Measure (UoM) associated with a product that is relevant for Global Data Synchronization (GDS), but this UoM is the last one linked to the product's European Article Number (EAN). This situation typically arises in the context of managing product data in SAP, particularly when dealing with GDS, which requires certain data integrity and completeness.
Cause:
- Last UoM Deletion: The error occurs because the UoM being deleted is the last one associated with the product's EAN. In GDS, products must have at least one valid UoM to ensure that they can be properly identified and traded.
- GDS Relevance: The product is marked as GDS-relevant, meaning it must comply with specific data standards and requirements, including having a valid UoM.
Solution:
- Check UoM Assignments: Before deleting a UoM, check if there are other UoMs assigned to the product. If there are, you can proceed with the deletion of the desired UoM.
- Add a New UoM: If the UoM you want to delete is the only one, consider adding a new UoM first. Once a new UoM is assigned to the product, you can then delete the old UoM.
- Review Product Data: Ensure that the product data is complete and complies with GDS requirements. This may involve reviewing the product's EAN and associated UoMs.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or guidelines related to GDS and product master data management for specific instructions on handling UoMs.
