  • Message text: Worklist for inheritance background processes exists

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You want to create a worklist for a delta filling for substance volume
tracking. However, there is another worklist for inheritance background
processes. This means it is possible that the material worklist referred
to by the delta filling for substance volume tracking is incomplete.
This can result in the data in the following tables not being current or
incomplete in the system where the data is filled:
    CCRCT_EHS_COMP: Composition
    CCRCT_EHS_REG: Notification status
    CCRCT_EHS_SLIMIT: Limit values in substance

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

If you started the program manually to create the worklist of changed
materials, start it again at a later stage to ensure that the worklist
is created for all relevant materials.
If you scheduled the program in a background job, the system checks
after 10 minutes whether there is still a worklist for inheritance
background processes. This is repeated three times. If inheritance
background jobs still exist, the program to create the material worklist
continues. Note that in this case, the filling program
<DS:RE.RREGCH_FILL>Substance Volume Tracking: Data Transfer from
Property Tree</> (RREGCH_FILL) cannot access the most up-to-date
    worklist of changed materials.
If you run the program for the worklist again at a later stage when the
inheritance background jobs are completed, the worklist is updated with
    the corresponding materials.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message CBRC_REGCHECK247 - Worklist for inheritance background processes exists ?

The SAP error message CBRC_REGCHECK247 indicates that there is an existing worklist for inheritance background processes. This typically occurs in the context of SAP's Converged Billing and Revenue Management (CBRC) module, where certain processes are designed to handle the inheritance of data or settings across different entities or transactions.

    Cause:

The error message is triggered when the system detects that there are pending background processes related to inheritance that have not been completed. This can happen due to various reasons, such as:

    1. Pending Background Jobs: There are background jobs that are still running or have failed, which are responsible for processing inheritance tasks.
    2. Lock Entries: There may be lock entries in the database that prevent the completion of these background processes.
    3. Configuration Issues: Incorrect configuration settings in the CBRC module can lead to issues with inheritance processing.
    4. Data Consistency Issues: Inconsistencies in the data that need to be inherited can also cause this error.

    Solution:

To resolve the CBRC_REGCHECK247 error, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Background Jobs:

      • Go to transaction SM37 to check the status of background jobs. Look for jobs related to inheritance processes and see if they are still running or have failed.
      • If jobs have failed, review the job logs to identify the cause of the failure and take corrective action.
    2. Review Lock Entries:

      • Use transaction SM12 to check for any lock entries that might be preventing the background processes from completing. If you find any locks that are no longer needed, you can delete them.
    3. Check Configuration:

      • Review the configuration settings in the CBRC module to ensure that everything is set up correctly. This may involve checking the settings for inheritance processes and ensuring that all necessary parameters are correctly defined.
    4. Data Consistency:

      • Ensure that the data involved in the inheritance processes is consistent and valid. You may need to run consistency checks or data validation processes to identify and correct any issues.
    5. Consult Documentation:

      • Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the CBRC module for any specific guidance on handling this error.
