Message text: User type &1 is not active in child system &2
User type &V1& is not active in child system &V2&. This can, among
other things, be due to the active price list setting, or the fact that
the user type itself is not active. Another possible cause of the
error is obsolete information about the status of the child system
(active price list, active user types, and so on) in the central
system.
Termination.
You can assign the user a different user type (when doing so, you
should, of course, take acount of the conditions of the license
contract) or correct the active user types in the child system. If
you change the settings in the child system, you must transfer the
current status into the child system. You have the following options
for doing this:
User maintenance transactions (SU01, SU10), "Roles" tab page,
"Text comparison from child sys." function

- User type &1 is not active in child system &2 ?The SAP error message BV265: User type &1 is not active in child system &2 typically occurs in a system landscape where there is a central system (like a Central User Administration (CUA) system) managing users for one or more child systems. This error indicates that the user type specified (e.g., dialog, service, communication) is not active or not allowed in the specified child system.
Cause:
- User Type Configuration: The user type defined in the central system is not enabled or recognized in the child system. This can happen if the child system has restrictions on certain user types.
- User Type Mismatch: The user type being assigned or used in the child system does not match the allowed user types configured in that system.
- System Settings: The child system may have specific settings that restrict certain user types from being created or used.
Solution:
Check User Type Configuration:
- Go to the child system and check the configuration for user types. You can do this by navigating to the user management settings.
- Ensure that the user type you are trying to use is active and allowed in the child system.
Adjust User Type Settings:
- If the user type is not active, you may need to activate it. This can usually be done in the user management settings of the child system.
- You may need to consult with your SAP Basis or security team to make these changes.
Review CUA Settings:
- If you are using Central User Administration (CUA), ensure that the settings in the CUA are correctly configured to allow the user types to be replicated to the child systems.
- Check the CUA configuration in transaction SU01 or SU10 to ensure that the user types are correctly mapped.
User Creation:
- If you are trying to create a user, ensure that you are using the correct user type that is allowed in the child system.
- If necessary, create the user directly in the child system with the appropriate user type.
Consult Documentation:
- Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to user management and CUA for more detailed guidance on user types and their configurations.
