This typically occurs when a background job has already started executing or has completed its execution. Here’s a breakdown of the cause, potential solutions, and related information:
Cause:
- Job Execution: The job has already started running or has finished executing. Once a job is in progress or completed, it cannot be modified.

- Job Deletion: If the job was deleted or canceled, it may also lead to this error when trying to edit it.

to check the status of the job. If it is running or completed, you will not be able to edit it.- Job Management: If you need to make changes, you may need to create a new job with the desired parameters instead of editing the existing one.
- Job Deletion: If the job is no longer needed and you want to remove it, you can delete it from the job overview in
SM37
(if it is in a cancellable state).- Reschedule: If you need to change the schedule, you can delete the existing job and create a new one with the updated schedule.
- Review Logs: Check the job logs for any errors or messages that might provide additional context on why the job status changed.
