Message text: Input-ready deactivated: Cell redefinition in inverse formula
To calculate a carrier for a formula group in a structure, inverse
formulas need to be defined for all input-ready operands. The inp
ut-readiness of these operands is normally set in the same structure,
i.e. in the carrier structure. The carrier and its inverse formulas form
a separate formula group for each selection element in the other
structure.
In this case, modifiable cell &V2& is redefined by an alternative cell
definition. The formula definition for formula group &V1& therefore
deviates from the rule, and the inverse formula for &V2& is invalid.
The input-readiness of formula carrier &V1& is revoked, as formula group
&V1& would not have any correct inversions for &V2&.
If you do not want the input-readiness of &V1& to be revoked, the
redefinition of &V2& needs to be canceled.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Input-ready deactivated: Cell redefinition in inverse formula ?The SAP error message BRAIN567 indicates that an input-ready cell has been deactivated due to a redefinition of the cell in an inverse formula. This typically occurs in the context of SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) when working with planning models or data entry forms.
Cause:
- Cell Redefinition: The error arises when a cell that is supposed to be input-ready is redefined in a way that conflicts with its original definition. This can happen if the cell is part of an inverse formula that changes its expected behavior.
- Formula Conflicts: If a cell is defined to take input from users but is also involved in a calculation that contradicts its input-ready status, the system will deactivate the input capability.
- Model Configuration: Changes in the model configuration or the underlying data model can lead to this issue, especially if the cell's properties are altered.
Solution:
- Review the Formula: Check the formula associated with the cell that is causing the error. Ensure that it does not conflict with the input-ready status of the cell.
- Adjust Cell Properties: If the cell is intended to be input-ready, you may need to adjust its properties or the formula to ensure it can accept user input without conflicts.
- Reconfigure the Model: If the issue persists, consider reviewing the overall model configuration. Ensure that the definitions of the cells and their relationships are correctly set up.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on handling inverse formulas and input-ready cells.
- Testing: After making changes, test the input functionality to ensure that the error is resolved and that the cell behaves as expected.
