Message text: Input-ready deactivated; cell redefinition in inverse formula
To calculate a carrier for a formula group in a structure, inverse
formulas need to be defined for all input-ready operands. The inp
ut-readiness of these operands is normally set in the same structure,
i.e. in the carrier structure. The carrier and its inverse formulas form
a separate formula group for each selection element in the other
structure.
In this case, input-readiness for cell &V1& was probably activated
inadvertently, for example in the other structure. The inverse formula
is therefore missing for carrier &V2& for element &V1&. This would
violate the consistency of multiplied formula group &V2&.
The input-readiness of cell &V1& is revoked, as formula &V2& would not
have any correct inversions.
If you do not want input-readiness to be revoked for cell &V1&, you need
to modify the input-ready formula so that the situation described above
no longer occurs.

BRAIN566
- Input-ready deactivated; cell redefinition in inverse formula ?The SAP error message BRAIN566 indicates that there is an issue with the input-ready status of a cell in a planning application, particularly when using an inverse formula. This error typically arises in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) when working with planning functions or input-ready queries.
Cause:
The error occurs due to the following reasons:
- Cell Redefinition: The cell in question has been redefined in a way that conflicts with the input-ready status. This can happen if the cell is part of an inverse formula that is trying to calculate a value based on other cells, but the input-ready status has been deactivated.
- Formula Configuration: The configuration of the formula may not allow for input-ready cells to be used in the way they are currently defined.
- Data Model Changes: Changes in the data model or the underlying InfoProvider can lead to inconsistencies that trigger this error.
Solution:
To resolve the BRAIN566 error, you can take the following steps:
Check the Formula: Review the inverse formula that is causing the issue. Ensure that it is correctly defined and that it does not conflict with the input-ready status of the cells involved.
Adjust Input-Ready Status: If the cell needs to be input-ready, ensure that it is configured as such. You may need to adjust the settings in the planning function or the query definition to allow for input-ready cells.
Review Cell Redefinition: If the cell has been redefined, consider reverting the changes or redefining it in a way that maintains its input-ready status.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on configuring inverse formulas and input-ready cells.
Test Changes: After making adjustments, test the planning function or query to ensure that the error no longer occurs.
Seek Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to SAP support or consulting with a technical expert who specializes in SAP BW or BPC.
