Message text: Input-ready %GT formula &1 has an illegal operand
Input-ready formula &V1& calculates the percentage that a structure
element makes up of the total sum (%GT) of the structure element. Two
condition need to be met here:
The operand of the %GT formula must be an input-ready structure element,
while the key figure component must be a basic key figure.
Disaggregation must be set for the operand of the input-ready %GT
formula.
The key figure that is used in the input-ready operand in the %GT
formula must use the standard aggregation SUM.
At least one of these conditions has not been met here.
The query has errors and will not be generated.
Check the standard aggregation used in the key figure and the
disaggregation settings. A key figure with standard aggregation NO2 and
disaggregation 'Copy' cannot be used in input-ready %GT formulas. The
query definition must be modified accordingly.

BRAIN565
- Input-ready %GT formula &1 has an illegal operand ?The SAP error message BRAIN565 indicates that there is an issue with a formula in a query or report, specifically that the formula contains an illegal operand. This error typically arises in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP BI (Business Intelligence) when working with queries in BEx (Business Explorer) or similar tools.
Cause:
The error can be caused by several factors, including:
Invalid Operand: The formula may contain an operand that is not recognized or is not valid in the context of the calculation. This could be due to a typo, incorrect syntax, or using an operand that is not applicable for the data type.
Data Type Mismatch: The operands used in the formula may not be compatible with each other. For example, trying to perform mathematical operations on string values.
Missing or Incorrect Variables: If the formula references variables or characteristics that are not defined or are incorrectly defined, it can lead to this error.
Formula Complexity: Sometimes, overly complex formulas can lead to parsing issues, resulting in illegal operands.
Solution:
To resolve the BRAIN565 error, you can take the following steps:
Review the Formula: Check the formula for any syntax errors or typos. Ensure that all operands are valid and correctly referenced.
Check Data Types: Ensure that the operands used in the formula are of compatible data types. If necessary, convert data types to ensure compatibility.
Validate Variables: Make sure that all variables and characteristics referenced in the formula are correctly defined and available in the context of the query.
Simplify the Formula: If the formula is complex, try breaking it down into simpler components to identify the specific part that is causing the issue.
Use the Formula Editor: Utilize the formula editor in the BEx Query Designer or the relevant tool to help identify errors. The editor often provides syntax checking and can highlight issues.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for guidance on the specific functions and operands you are using in your formula.
Test in Isolation: If possible, test the formula in isolation to see if it works without the context of the full query. This can help identify if the issue is with the formula itself or its integration into the query.
