  • During a production write and delete run with the above archiving
object, important status messages and any error messages are collected
    in this monitoring attribute.
"Yellow" messages trigger alerts, which the system handles
automatically according to the situation. Therefore after a file has be
en written and at the start of the delete run, a "yellow" alert is
triggered which is then cancelled on the successful completion of the
    delete run for this file.
Error messages trigger "red" alerts, which the system does not handle
    automatically.
When all of the alerts for an archiving object have been resolved, and
if neither an incorrect nor an incomplete run exists for the archiving
object, then the system will delete all messages and alerts from the
monitoring attribute "Checkpoints". The system will only recreate
"Checkpoints" the next time a session is created using this archiving
    object.
