  • What causes this issue?

You entered a percentage distribution for cost centers and business
areas or profit centers at the same time.
However, percentage distribution is only possible either completely to
cost centers, or completely to profit center or business area.
At least one of the percentage distributions you entered includes
distribution to cost centers, and one of the percentage distributions
    does not include cost centers.
    Note:
For distribution according to cost centers, the system automatically
adopts the business area and profit center from the cost center.

This error typically arises during the posting of asset transactions, such as acquisitions or transfers.

    2. Adjust Transaction Data: Modify the transaction data to ensure that only one type of distribution is used. For example, if you are using cost centers, remove any business area/profit center assignments, and vice versa.
    3. Configuration Check: If the issue persists, review the configuration settings in the Asset Accounting module. Ensure that the settings for cost distribution are correctly defined according to your organization's requirements.
    4. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on the transaction type you are using and the expected distribution methods.
    5. Testing: After making adjustments, test the transaction again to ensure that the error is resolved.
