What causes this issue?

If equipment records are not synchronized, either directly or using
workflow, then you cannot enter equipment records in the asset master
record.

System Response

Any equipment records that were newly entered are deleted. Equipment
records that already existed are not affected.

How to fix this error?

Define the type of synchronization in Customizing.
