SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: AAPM - Integration PM with FI-AA

  • Message number: 030

  • Message text: Asset &1 is already assigned to other equipment (e.g. &2)-> see long text

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You assigned asset &V1& to this equipment master record. This asset
already has assignments, for example to equipment &V2&.

    System Response

The system allows the assignment to multiple equipment records.
However, if the synchronization between equipment master records and
asset master records that was made available in Release 4.6C is active,
certain problems can occur, especially if you chose direct
synchronization in the asset master record. When this is the case, the
system changes the synchronization in the asset master record
automatically to workflow, in order to prevent the existing assignments
    from being affected.

    How to fix this error?

Check if the asset number entered, &V1&, is correct. Change the
    assignment if necessary.
For more information, you can refer to the notes in the SAP Service
    Marketplace (for example, note 370884).

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

This typically occurs when you attempt to assign an asset to a piece of equipment that is already linked to a different equipment or asset.

    Cause:

    1. Existing Assignment: The asset you are trying to assign is already linked to another equipment or asset in the system.
