- Reference flow type for transfer posting (&,&,&) not maintained ?The SAP error message 6F014 indicates that there is a missing reference flow type for a transfer posting in the system. This error typically occurs when you are trying to execute a transfer posting transaction, but the system cannot find the necessary configuration for the flow type associated with that transaction.
Cause:
The error is usually caused by one of the following reasons:
- Missing Configuration: The reference flow type for the transfer posting has not been maintained in the system. This can happen if the configuration for the relevant movement type or transaction is incomplete.
- Incorrect Movement Type: The movement type used in the transfer posting may not be correctly defined or may not have a corresponding reference flow type.

Solution:
To resolve the error, you can follow these steps:
Check Movement Type Configuration:
- Go to the transaction code OMJJ (or SPRO -> Logistics Execution -> Transfer Posting -> Movement Types).
- Look for the movement type you are using for the transfer posting.
- Ensure that the reference flow type is maintained for that movement type.
Maintain Reference Flow Type:
- If the reference flow type is missing, you will need to maintain it. This can usually be done in the same configuration area where you checked the movement type.
- Ensure that the reference flow type is correctly assigned to the movement type.
Check for Customizations:
- If there are any custom developments or enhancements, check if they are affecting the transfer posting process.
- Ensure that any custom logic is correctly implemented and does not interfere with standard SAP processes.
Consult Documentation:
- Review any relevant SAP documentation or notes related to the specific movement type and transfer posting process to ensure that all necessary configurations are in place.
Testing:
- After making the necessary changes, perform a test transfer posting to verify that the error has been resolved.
