Message text: Opting out of the F.S.Charge and back in within a tax year is not allowed
The infotype history of this company car shows that the employee has
already opted out of the fuel scale charge during this tax year. Once
having opted out it is not permitted by the system to opt back in until
the start of the next tax year.
Background : The Inland Revenue ruling
In order to deter employees from opting out and in repeatedly,
provision is made that should an employee opt back into free fuel at
any time in the same tax year that he has previously given it up a
full year's charge will apply.
The system does not allow this change.
If the previous opting out was a mistake correct this record so that
the fuel scale charge is flagged on the old record. In the case that
the employee has genuinely opted out and then back in it would be
necessary to change the infotype records to reflect no period within
the tax year where the fuel scale charge did not apply.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
