  • What causes this issue?

    To determine the contribution-liable income from capital benefits
    according to sec. 229 par. 1 SGB V, the payment amount of the capital
    benefit must be assessed over ten years (which corresponds to 1/120th
    monthly. Contributions are not deducted if the monthly amount after
    dividing the contribution-liable payment amount by 120 exceeds 1/20th of
    the monthly reference value, as specified in sec. 18 par. 1 SGB IV.
    Therefore, the period for the capital benefit can only include full
    months - that is, the period must begin on the first day of the month
    and end on the last day of the month. Also see the circular from the
