SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: 01 -

  • Message number: 673

  • Message text: CUA central system &1 does not match the known CUA central system (&2)

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The passed CUA central system (&V1&) does not match the last-known CUA
central system (&V2&) of the active CUA (&V3&).

    System Response

The current CUA settings are not changed.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

If your CUA central system (&V1&) was created from a copy of the CUA
central system &V2&, check the copy of the RFC connections to the child
systems (in particular, the RFC connection with the name &V4&, to this
child system). These should no longer point to the child systems of the
original CUA central system, when you save the CUA landscape in the
    copy.
If the local system (&V4&) is a copy of a CUA child system, start the
report RSDELCUA in the copied system, to delete the CUA data of the old
CUA before you add the copied system as a new child system to another
    central system.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message 01673 - CUA central system &1 does not match the known CUA central system (&2) ?

The SAP error message 01673 indicates a mismatch between the central system defined in the Central User Administration (CUA) configuration and the actual central system being referenced. This error typically arises when there is a discrepancy in the configuration settings of the CUA.

    Cause:

    1. Configuration Mismatch: The central system defined in the CUA settings does not match the one that the system is currently trying to connect to.
    2. Incorrect System Settings: The system might be incorrectly configured, or the CUA settings may have been changed without updating all relevant systems.
    3. Transport Issues: If changes were transported between systems, the transport might not have included the correct CUA settings.
    4. System Landscape Changes: Changes in the system landscape, such as system copies or migrations, may lead to inconsistencies in the CUA configuration.

    Solution:

    1. Check CUA Configuration:

      • Go to transaction SU01 and check the CUA settings.
      • Ensure that the central system defined in the CUA configuration matches the system you are currently working with.
    2. Update CUA Settings:

      • If there is a mismatch, update the CUA settings to reflect the correct central system.
      • You can do this in transaction SCUA (CUA Administration) by checking the settings for the central system.
    3. Consistency Check:

      • Perform a consistency check of the CUA configuration across all connected systems to ensure they are aligned.
      • Use transaction SCUA to check the status of the CUA and ensure all systems are correctly configured.
    4. Transport Requests:

      • If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport requests to ensure that the CUA settings were included and correctly transported.
    5. System Restart:

      • In some cases, a restart of the affected systems may help to clear any temporary inconsistencies.
    6. Consult Documentation:

      • Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to CUA for any specific instructions or known issues.
