• Key Concepts: 
  A role type in SAP Solution Manager is a collection of authorization objects that are grouped together to define the access rights of a user. It is used to assign roles to users, which determine the tasks they can perform in the system. 
  
  How to use it: 
  In order to assign a role type to a user, the user must first be created in the system. Once the user is created, the role type can be assigned by navigating to the “User Maintenance” screen and selecting the “Assign Role Type” option. From there, select the desired role type and click “Save”. 
  
  Tips & Tricks: 
  It is important to note that role types are not automatically assigned when a user is created. The role type must be manually assigned in order for the user to have access to certain functions in the system.
