  • Key Concepts:
Role-based access control (RBAC) is a method of regulating access to computer or network resources based on the roles of individual users within an enterprise. In SAP, RBAC is used to control access to the SAP Enterprise Portal (EP) and its components, such as the Collaboration Process Platform (CPP) and the NetWeaver Enterprise Orchestrator (NEO).

    How to use it:
In order to use RBAC in SAP, administrators must first define roles and assign them to users. This can be done through the SAP GUI or through the EP Administration Console. Once roles are assigned, users will only be able to access resources that are associated with their role.

    Tips & Tricks:
When assigning roles, it is important to ensure that users have only the necessary access rights for their job. This will help to reduce the risk of unauthorized access and data breaches. Additionally, it is important to regularly review user roles and adjust them as needed.
