Description: An indicator showing whether or not a production order has been scheduled for processing.
Key Concepts: Scheduling status is a term used in SAP's SCM-Warehousing and Manufacturing Execution (SRD-SCM-WME) component. It is used to indicate the current status of a production order or material requirement planning (MRP) element. The scheduling status can be either open, released, or closed. How to use it: The scheduling status of a production order or MRP element can be changed manually or automatically. To manually change the scheduling status, go to the Production Control work center and select the Production Orders view. Select the production order or MRP element you want to change and click on the Change Status button. You will then be able to select the desired scheduling status from the drop-down menu. Tips & Tricks: When changing the scheduling status of a production order or MRP element, it is important to remember that some statuses are only available for certain types of orders. For example, the “released” status is only available for production orders, not for MRP elements.
