What is where used in SAP SRD-SCM-MD - SCM-Master Data?

  • Description: Relating to the review and possible maintenance of the relationship between a selected object and the related area where the object is employed. For example in a production bill-of-material variant, where used displays the production bill-of-material variants where a selected compoment change is used. Also, in released production models, the production orders tab displays the production orders in which the selected released production model is used.

    Where Used is a feature in SAP that allows users to view the components and objects that are dependent on a particular material or material master record. It is used to identify the components and objects that are affected by changes to the material master record. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To use Where Used, users must first access the material master record in SAP. Once in the material master record, users can select the Where Used tab to view all of the components and objects that are dependent on the material.

    When using Where Used, it is important to remember that changes made to a material master record will affect all of the components and objects that are dependent on it. Therefore, it is important to be aware of all of the components and objects that are dependent on a particular material before making any changes.
