What is snapshot in SAP SRD-PRO-PMN - PRO-Project Management?

  • Description: A read-only copy of the state of an object such as a project or a material inventory at a point in time. Snapshots are used for documentation purposes and trend analysis.

  • Key Concepts: 
    A snapshot in SAP SRD-PRO-PMN PRO-Project Management is a point-in-time copy of the project data. It captures the project data at a specific moment and stores it for future reference. Snapshots can be used to compare the current state of the project with a previous state, or to compare different versions of the same project. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To create a snapshot, go to the Project Management tab in SAP SRD-PRO-PMN PRO-Project Management and select “Create Snapshot” from the dropdown menu. Enter a name for the snapshot and click “Create”. The snapshot will be stored in the system and can be accessed at any time. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    It is important to give each snapshot a descriptive name so that it can be easily identified later on. Additionally, it is recommended to take snapshots regularly so that changes can be tracked over time.
