    Partial write-down is a process in SAP Fixed Assets (SRD-FIN-FA) that allows for the reduction of the book value of an asset. This is done by writing down the asset’s value to a lower amount than its original cost. This is done when the asset’s current market value is lower than its original cost. 
    
    How to use it: 
    In order to use partial write-down in SAP Fixed Assets, you must first enter the asset into the system. Once the asset has been entered, you can then select the “Partial Write-Down” option from the menu. You will then be prompted to enter the new book value of the asset. Once this is done, the system will automatically adjust the asset’s book value to reflect the new amount. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When using partial write-down in SAP Fixed Assets, it is important to remember that this process should only be used when the asset’s current market value is lower than its original cost. Additionally, it is important to remember that this process will not affect any depreciation calculations that have already been made for the asset.
