Component: SLL
Component Name: Global Trade Services
Description: The day on which stock is posted in a foreign-trade zone. An FTZ posting day is set using a factory calendar that makes a distinction between working days and non-working days for example, business days, weekends, holidays. When stock is posted for the very first time during a business day, depending on what time of day the next FTZ posting day starts, the day count can be incremented by 1. In contrast, when stock is posted on holidays or weekends, the day count is not incremented. An FTZ posting day is not necessarily the same as a calendar day.
Key Concepts: FTZ posting day is a feature of SAP's Global Trade Services (GTS) component that allows users to post goods to a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) on a specific day. This feature helps companies manage their FTZ inventory more efficiently and accurately. How to use it: To use the FTZ posting day feature, users must first set up the FTZ posting day in the GTS configuration. Once this is done, users can select the FTZ posting day when they post goods to an FTZ. The system will then automatically post the goods on the specified day. Tips & Tricks: It is important to note that the FTZ posting day feature only applies to goods that are posted to an FTZ. Goods that are posted outside of an FTZ will not be affected by this feature. Related Information: For more information about the FTZ posting day feature, please refer to SAP's documentation on Global Trade Services. Additionally, you can contact your local SAP representative for more information and assistance with setting up and using this feature.
