What is interval in SAP SD - Sales and Distribution?

  • Component Name: Sales and Distribution

  • Description: A division of the address list if the list contains more than 100 addresses. For example, an address list of 1,000 entries is divided into ten intervals, each containing 100 addresses. Address intervals simplify large address list management and address search. The interval is sorted according to the same criteria as the address list, for example, by recipient name.

    Interval in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) is a time period that is used to define the validity of a pricing condition. It is used to determine the validity of a pricing condition for a certain period of time. The interval can be defined as a fixed date, or as a relative date, such as the current date or the date of the document. 
    
    How to use it: 
    In order to use intervals in SAP SD, you must first define the interval in the pricing condition. This can be done by selecting the “Interval” option in the pricing condition and then entering the start and end dates for the interval. Once this is done, you can then assign this interval to any pricing condition that you wish to use. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When defining an interval in SAP SD, it is important to remember that the start and end dates must be within the same calendar year. Additionally, it is important to note that intervals cannot overlap with each other.
