• Description: A function to determine a supplier back-end product from a corresponding product in the product master. Suppliers sell products for which they use product numbers for business processes with their customers. In some cases, however, there can be variants of one product, for example with tissue paper. Depending on the season the supplier might deliver thicker or thinner tissue paper, for the winter or summer season respectively. In the supplier's back-end system the two different types of tissue paper have different supplier back-end product numbers. This becomes particularly important during the shipping process, when the supplier needs to determine the correct variant of the product to ship to the customer. In order to determine the correct product needed, product determination must be used.
