Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Hard split is a feature of the Flexible Order Transactions (FOT) component of SAP's Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) module. It allows users to split an order into multiple parts, each with its own delivery date and quantity. This feature is useful for managing complex orders that require multiple deliveries or for splitting large orders into smaller ones.

    How to use it:
To use the hard split feature, users must first create an order in the FOT component. Once the order is created, users can select the “Split” option from the menu. This will open a window where users can specify the quantity and delivery date for each part of the order. Once all of the details are entered, users can click “Save” to complete the split.

    Tips & Tricks:
When using the hard split feature, it is important to remember that each part of the order must have a unique delivery date and quantity. If two parts of an order have the same delivery date or quantity, they will be merged into one part. Additionally, it is important to note that once an order has been split, it cannot be undone.
