  • Key Concepts:
Asset Value Date is a feature in SAP Business One (SBO) that allows users to assign a value date to an asset. This value date is used to determine the depreciation of the asset over time. The value date is also used to calculate the asset's book value, which is the difference between the asset's original cost and its accumulated depreciation.

    How to use it:
To assign a value date to an asset in SBO, users must first create an asset master record. Once the master record is created, users can enter the asset's value date in the “Value Date” field. This field can be found in the “General” tab of the asset master record.

    Tips & Tricks:
It is important to note that the value date should be set to the date when the asset was acquired or put into service. This will ensure that the correct depreciation amount is calculated for the asset. Additionally, users should be aware that any changes made to the value date will affect the depreciation calculation for that asset.
