Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Wage type split is a feature in SAP Payroll that allows you to divide a wage type into multiple parts. This feature is useful when you need to split a wage type into different components, such as taxes, deductions, and contributions. It also allows you to assign different wage types to each component.

    How to use it:
To use the wage type split feature, you must first create a wage type split rule in the payroll configuration. This rule will define the components of the wage type and assign different wage types to each component. Once the rule is created, you can then assign it to an employee's payroll record.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating a wage type split rule, make sure that the total amount of the components is equal to the total amount of the original wage type. This will ensure that all of the components are accounted for and that no money is lost or gained in the process.
