What is activation status in SAP PUR-PRP - Procurement Planning?


SAP Term: activation status

  • Description: An indicator that shows the status of an entry. It can be "active" or "inactive". If an entry is marked inactive, it doesn't appear in any dropdown list and cannot be used.

  • Key Concepts: 
    Activation status is a feature in the SAP PUR-PRP Procurement Planning component that allows users to control the availability of certain functions. It is used to enable or disable certain features, such as the ability to create purchase orders or view certain data. 
    
    How to use it: 
    Activation status can be set by navigating to the “Activation Status” tab in the SAP PUR-PRP Procurement Planning component. From there, users can select which features they want to enable or disable. Once the desired settings are selected, users can save their changes and the new activation status will take effect. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    It is important to note that some features may require multiple activation statuses in order to be enabled. For example, if a user wants to create purchase orders, they may need to enable both “Create Purchase Orders” and “View Purchase Orders” in order for the feature to be available.
