Component: AP-RFQ
Component Name: SRM RFQ Processing
Description: A status variable indicating whether an RFQ request item, a request for quote item or a supplier quote item is relevant for the bidding process.
Key Concepts: Activation status is a feature in SAP SRM RFQ Processing that allows users to control the visibility of their RFQs. It is used to determine whether an RFQ is visible to suppliers or not. The activation status can be set to either “active” or “inactive”. When an RFQ is set to active, it is visible to suppliers and they can respond to it. When an RFQ is set to inactive, it is not visible to suppliers and they cannot respond to it. How to use it: To use the activation status feature, users must first create an RFQ in SAP SRM RFQ Processing. Once the RFQ has been created, users can then set the activation status of the RFQ by selecting either “active” or “inactive” from the drop-down menu. If the RFQ is set to active, suppliers will be able to view and respond to it. If the RFQ is set to inactive, suppliers will not be able to view or respond to it. Tips & Tricks: It is important to remember that setting an RFQ’s activation status to inactive does not delete the RFQ. It simply makes it invisible to suppliers. If you need to make changes or delete an RFQ, you must first set its activation status back to active before making any changes or deleting it.
