Simulated infotypes are called simulated because the infotype data is not stored in the usual infotype database tables, but provided from database tables during the run by a function module in time management. Simulated infotypes can be used in the same way as regular infotypes foryour ABAP programs and for SAP Query reports because they are provided in the same way as other infotypes in the logical database PNP.
