SAP Term: seniority leave

Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Seniority leave is a type of leave entitlement in SAP Personnel Time Management (PT) that is based on the length of an employee’s service with a company. It is typically granted to employees who have been with the company for a certain number of years, and the amount of leave they are entitled to increases with each year of service.

    How to use it:
In SAP PT, seniority leave is managed through the Leave Entitlement feature. This feature allows you to set up different types of leave entitlements, including seniority leave, and assign them to employees based on their length of service. You can also set up rules for how much leave an employee is entitled to based on their years of service.

    Tips & Tricks:
When setting up seniority leave in SAP PT, it’s important to make sure that you are taking into account any other types of leave entitlements that may be applicable to the employee. For example, if an employee is also entitled to vacation time, you will need to make sure that the seniority leave does not overlap with their vacation time.
