What is park in SAP PSM-FM - Funds Management?


SAP Term: park

  • Component: PSM-FM

  • Component Name: Funds Management

  • Description: A function for saving purchase orders and purchase requisitions whose budgeting should be checked. The document contains the data required in Materials Management for posting and is MRP-relevant. You park a document if you want someone to check the budgeting and post it a later time. Only then can the document be completely saved. The following functions are not possible for parked purchase requisitions: Message output Release Contracts, scheduling agreements, requests for quotations, quotations, and purchase orders cannot be created with a reference to a parked purchase requisition. Purchase requisitions with service items or third-party order processing cannot be parked. The following functions are not possible for parked purchase orders: Message output Release Goods receipt posting Invoice posting Purchase orders with service items or third-party order processing cannot be parked. Purchase orders that contain volume rebate conditions cannot be parked.

    Parking is a feature in SAP Funds Management (PSM-FM) that allows users to temporarily store documents for later processing. It is used to store documents that are not yet ready for posting, such as those that require additional information or approval. Documents can be parked in the system until they are ready to be posted. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To park a document, select the “Park” option from the menu. Enter the required information and click “Save”. The document will then be stored in the system until it is ready to be posted. To view parked documents, select the “Parked Documents” option from the menu. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When parking documents, make sure to enter all required information accurately and completely. This will ensure that the document can be easily retrieved when it is ready to be posted. Additionally, it is important to remember that parked documents cannot be posted until all required information has been entered.
