  Non-BOM components are materials that are not included in the Bill of Materials (BOM) for a product. In SAP Manufacturing Execution (MFG-ME), non-BOM components are materials that are used in the production process but are not part of the finished product.   How to use it: 
  Non-BOM components can be added to a production order in MFG-ME. This is done by selecting the “Add Non-BOM Component” option from the menu. The user will then be prompted to enter the material number, quantity, and unit of measure for the non-BOM component. Once this information is entered, the non-BOM component will be added to the production order. 
  
  Tips & Tricks: 
  It is important to note that non-BOM components are not tracked in the same way as BOM components. Non-BOM components are not included in the inventory count and do not affect the cost of goods sold. Therefore, it is important to keep track of non-BOM components separately from BOM components.
