What is direct message in SAP LOD-SF-JAM - SAP JAM?

  • Description: A feature that allows Jam members to call attention to a specific feed item for a user. When a user is messaged directly using @, they receive an email and the feed item is placed on their follows feed and @user wall.

  • Key Concepts: 
    Direct messages are private conversations between two or more people in SAP JAM. They are similar to text messages, but they are hosted within the SAP JAM platform. Direct messages can be used to share files, images, and other content. 
    
    How to Use It: 
    To send a direct message, click on the “Messages” tab in the navigation bar. Then, click on the “New Message” button. Enter the name of the person or group you want to message and type your message in the text box. When you’re finished, click “Send” to send your message. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    You can add attachments to direct messages by clicking on the paperclip icon in the message box. You can also add emojis and GIFs to your messages by clicking on the smiley face icon.
