not-applicable competency - Overview

not-applicable competency - Details

  • Key Concepts: A not-applicable competency is a competency that is not applicable to a particular employee or job role. This type of competency is used in SAP's LOD-SF-CDP Career Development Planning component to identify skills and abilities that are not relevant to the employee's current job role.
How to use it: When creating a career development plan for an employee, the manager can select the “not-applicable” option for any competency that is not relevant to the employee's current job role. This will ensure that the employee does not receive training or development in areas that are not applicable to their current job role.
Tips & Tricks: When selecting “not-applicable” for a competency, it is important to note that this does not mean that the employee will never need this skill or ability in the future. It simply means that it is not applicable to their current job role.
